Summer Championship 2025
Race Programme
We are pleased to announce the following races for our 2025 summer championship series. Subject to numbers, we will award prizes for the top 3 on scratch for male and female and top 3 age-related. . Note that the majority of events will require pre-entry, either on Results Base, SI Entries or Entry Central.

Criffel Hill Race:
The 2025 Criffel Hill Race was run for the first time within 20 years in the July instead of the previous March slot, so instead of wind, rain, snow and ice it was run in a sunny 25 degrees/ The organisers, Dumfries Running Club, provided water and a hose to spray cold water on the competitors at the end of the tarmac section to help keep the runners cool. Although once the runners climbed a short way up the hill they were greeted with a nice breeze. The race attracted 44 runners.
14 HHRC member entered the race of which 5 made the top 10 places, Luke Park coming in 3rd place just breaking the hour in 59 minutes, a great time, Morgan in 5th place, Callum in 6th, Adam Park 7th and Adam Anderson 10th.
There were class wins for Pauline 1st FV60, Linsey 1st FV40 and Kevin 1st MV60. 2nd places in their classes were Adam Anderson MV50, Jennifer FV50 and Craig MV60. 3rd place in class went to Nicky MV40.

Goatfell:
Well done to our club members who, in very hot conditions, completed the Goatfell Hill Race on Arran. All members got up and down safely. For a small club we had a great haul of prizes in the way of beer. Claire Ingram was 1st FV40, Adam Anderson 2nd MV50, Kevin Plummer 2nd MV60 and Craig Malcolmson 3rd MV60.

Please see today's results from Screel Hill Race. Well done everyone who raced today. Special mention for Adam Anderson 3rd V55. A few members just missed out on a top 3 position with 4th place in class finishes.
