Hartfell Hill Walkers
Welcome to Hartfell Hill Walkers, a new walking group for the Dumfries & Galloway area. We aim to cater for all abilities with walks in the region varying from easy 2 hour trails to strenuous days out in the hills. Would you like to take your walking to the next level or are you an experienced hill walker wanting to explore some less well-trodden routes?
We love the hills and trails and aim to have enjoyable group walks and days out at a relaxed pace with no pressure and no-one ever left behind.
What we have to offer:
Weekends - Saturday or Sunday, once a month, long hill walk
Midweek - Wednesday evenings, Spring/Summer only, weekly, short hill or trail walk
Once restrictions allow we will be planning additional days out to the Pentland Hills, Arrochar Alps, Lake District and further afield.

Route details, kit, etc...
Our Walk Co-ordinators will provide details of the route, difficulty and terrain, kit suggestions, etc, in advance of the meet date. However, please note, our Co-ordinators are not Leaders and do not have Outdoor Leader qualifications. All walk participants will be expected to be responsible for themselves and should make sure they are satisfied they have sufficient information, kit and ability to complete the route safely. This also means that it is the responsibility of the individual participant to decide whether to rely on the advice or navigation skills of other group members/participants.
Hartfell Hill Walkers is not affiliated to any particular organisation although the club does have it's own public liability insurance. Non-members attending walks are not covered by this. If you are already a member of an organisation such as Scottish Mountaineering or the Ramblers Association, there may be cover under their membership perks. Links to these organisations are provided below if you wish to check or find out more.
If you would like to find out more about the group or any of the walks, you can contact our Walk Co-ordinators by emailing email@example.com or message us via the Hartfell Hill Running Club Facebook public group.
