Moyle Hill Race 28 Apr 2019
On Sunday the 28th of April Andy Webster and Graham McLellan organised the first ever Moyle Hill Race. The event was approximately 5 miles long with 660ft of climbing, taking in the widowmaker climb, the moyle footpath climb and the bike track climb back up onto the top of the Moyle from the end of the Barnbarroch loop. The 25 Hardrock Hoodlums and Hartfell hill running club members turned out to tackle the course, along with a number of time keepers marshals and other helpers. The event was a low key race with, no cost, no nonsense, get a race number and race type of event. There was food and refreshments at the Trail head car park afterwards for all who raced. A small prize was given for the first male and female.
