Recce Runs and good days out

Bob Graham Round Support Leg 4.

4 off our members went down to the Lake District to support one of Tinto Hill Runners in his Bob Graham round attempt, Alison and Kevin supported on Leg 4 from Wasdale to Honister while Nigel and Jennifer provided the all important road back up. Alistair did brilliantly to complete the round in 21:41. Alistair's father completed the round number 155 40 years ago, it was fitting his father ran in at the end with his son. A lovely day was had on the hill by all.

Bob Graham Round Leg 4 Recce.

On Sunday 30th June, Nick, Alison, Jennifer and Kevin visited the Lake District to recce leg 4 of the BGR.  They ran in from Honister to Wasdale before a short coffee stop, then took on the round in challenging conditions of strong rain and poor visibility. 17.6 Miles and 7,000ft of climbing later they were back in Honister the leg completed in good time.  

The club had a day out to Arran and the Goatfell Hill Race.  Not everybody ran, many just went over for the day, climbed the hill and cheered on those who were racing.  Adam ran well to get 1st V50, others achieved PBs.
